Ratcliff Selected as Landmark Conference Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week
TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University senior forward Marquis Ratcliff has been selected as the Landmark Conference Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University senior forward Marquis Ratcliff has been selected as the Landmark Conference Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
Ratcliff helped the Greyhounds to a 2-0 week as he averaged 27.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game while becoming Moravian's all-time leading scorer. He shot 20-of-38 from the field, 12-for-17 on three-pointers and 3-for-7 at the foul line to go with 10 blocked shots, five assists and three steals while playing 77 of 80 minutes for the week.
Ratcliff had 27 points, 10 rebounds, six blocked shots, two assists and two steals in an 84-73 win over Goucher College. He netted 28 points to go with 10 rebounds for his ninth double-double of the season and 36th of his career in a 79-71 victory versus Lycoming College. Ratcliff now has 1,918 points in a Greyhound uniform, passing Brandon Zaleski '05 on a three-pointer just three minutes into the contest. Ratcliff is second in program history with 841 rebounds, and he had four blocked shots versus the Warriors to raise his school career record to 217 and three assists.
"Marquis earning Player of the Week again speaks to the level he's performing at and the consistency he brings every day," noted Interim Head Coach Michael Mayes. "Breaking the all-time scoring record this week makes it even more special, and it's a reflection of the work, discipline, and commitment he's put into his game over his career. We're proud of him and everything he represents for our program."
Ratcliff earned his fourth Landmark Conference Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week honor for the 2025-26 season after being honored on January 5, November 24 and November 10 this winter.
The Hounds are slated to return to the court on Wednesday, February 18 in a Landmark Conference game at Drew University beginning at 7:00 p.m.
