Greyhound Men’s Lacrosse Set to Begin 2026 Slate Versus Gwynedd Mercy on February 11
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men’s lacrosse team is set to start the 2026 campaign with a non-conference match versus Gwynedd Mercy University on Wednesday, February 11 with action beginning at 3:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.

Head Coach Dave Carty, who is in his 11th season with a 70-63 record and his 24th year as a collegiate coach, returns 29 players from last year's 9-7 squad that reached the Landmark Conference Tournament.
The Greyhounds return one Landmark All-Conference player with junior long stick midfielder Andrew Cassese back after making the Honorable Mention squad last season with 58 ground balls and four caused turnovers.
Junior attack Nick Coffaro is the Hounds' top returning scorer with 25 goals and 24 assists last spring to go with 25 ground balls and five caused turnovers while senior attack Ryan Kokoszka netted 30 goals with three assists, 21 ground balls and three caused turnovers. Junior midfielder Hunter Klapmuts recorded eight goals, two assists and nine ground balls in 2025 while senior attack Vincent Devito had five goals and four assists before missing the end of the season with an injury.
Junior attack Kyle Gann had four goals and three assists last season while junior midfielder Adam Twist added four goals. Junior attack Aiden LaCorte posted two goals and an assist while junior midfielder Brady Quinn had a goal and three assists. Sophomore midfielder Robert Celona recorded a goal and two assists while junior attack Tucker Ellis and junior short stick defensive midfielder RJ Toogood both had one goal. Junior attack Jay Ashforth registered three assists while junior short stick defensive midfielder Finn McGovern posted one assist.
Senior defender Mike Sickler had an assist, 35 ground balls and 26 caused turnovers while senior defender James Panico added 28 ground balls and ten caused turnovers while getting back into the line-up in 2025 after missing 2024 with an injury. Sophomore long stick midfielder Dylan DeNaples posted nine ground balls and three caused turnovers while sophomore face-off specialist Owen Deady was 44-for-90 on face-offs with 28 ground balls and a goal.
Defensively, the Greyhounds return three goalies from 2025. Junior Liam Kelly posted 149 saves, an 11.84 goals-against average in 749 minutes of action, an 8-7 record, 36 ground balls and five caused turnovers while junior Nick Crames had ten saves in 62 minutes of action and sophomore Chris Piluso added one save in seven minutes of action.
