Hounds Win Third Consecutive Landmark Conference Match with Come-From-Behind Victory over Susquehanna
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men’s lacrosse team rallied from an early 3-0 deficit to earn a 10-8 victory over visiting Susquehanna University as the Hounds captured their third consecutive Landmark Conference win.

How It Happened
- The River Hawks netted a goal in the opening minute of the contest and three goals in the first 4:03 to lead 3-0. The Greyhounds got on the scoreboard with 2:02 left in the period on a goal from junior attack Nick Coffaro to make it 3-1 after 15 minutes of action
- Senior attack Ryan Kokoszka found the net six minutes into the second quarter for the Blue & Grey, and junior midfielder Hunter Klapmuts tied the match at 3-3 with an unassisted goal with just over four and a half minutes left in the period. Susquehanna broke the tie to take a 4-3 edge into halftime
- The River Hawks netted a man-up goal three minutes into the second half to make it 5-3. However, Moravian ran off five straight goals to take control. Kokoszka scored a spinning goal at the 10:18 mark before a pair of tallies from Coffaro had the Hounds up 6-5. Freshman long stick midfielder Christian Hantson contributed a man-up goal while Coffaro scored once more to make the edge 8-5 after 45 minutes of play
- The squads traded goals in the fourth quarter with Susquehanna scoring three times and the Greyhounds getting goals from freshman attack Tyler Bowden and Kokoszka
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian five players post points with Coffaro leading the way with four goals and four assists to go with six ground balls
- Kokoszka netted three goals while Bowden, Klaptmuts and Hantson all had one goal with Hantson scooping up two ground balls
- Senior defender Mike Sickler contributed four ground balls and four caused turnovers while senior defender James Panico added six ground balls and three caused turnovers
- Junior long stick midfielder Andrew Cassese recorded three ground balls and three caused turnovers while sophomore face-off specialist Owen Deady had three ground balls to go with a 5-for-16 game on face-offs
- Freshman attack Jack Minetti and sophomore long stick midfielder Dylan DeNaples each had three ground balls while senior short stick defensive midfielder RJ Toogood and junior midfielder Adam Twist both had two ground balls
- Junior goalie Liam Kelly registered 11 saves with four ground balls
- The Hounds held a 41-30 edge in ground balls while going 24-for-26 on clearing attempts
