Moravian Falls to Goucher on the Road

How It Happened
- The Greyhounds took a quick 1-0 lead as freshman attack Jack Minetti scored off a pass from junior attack Nick Coffaro just a minute into action. The Gophers scored twice for a 2-1 edge before sophomore midfielder Robert Celona scored twice to put the Blue & Grey back on top 3-2 with 6:23 still to play in the first quarter. Junior attack Adam Twist added a goal as Moravian led 4-2 after 15 minutes of action
- Senior attack Ryan Kokoszka and Coffaro found the net early in the second quarter as the Hounds pushed the advantage to 6-2 with just under ten minutes to play in the period. Goucher ran off three consecutive goals to close within 6-5 at the 5:44 mark. Kokoszka scored again to send the match to the intermission with Moravian leading 7-5
- The Gophers netted the first two goals of the third quarter to pull even at 7-7 before Minetti scored to put the Blue & Grey back on top with seven minutes left in the period. Goucher countered with a pair of goals in 45 seconds to retake the lead at 9-8 with 2:17 on the clock, and the Gophers added one more goal to lead 10-8 after 45 minutes of play
- Goucher netted a pair of goals while Minetti tallied another goal with just two seconds remaining to finish off the scoring
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had five different players score a goal with Minetti leading with three goals and one assist
- Kokoszka and Celona each had two goals and an assist with Coffaro and Twist adding one goal. Coffaro also had three assists while Twist added an assist
- Freshman attack Tyler Bowden contributed an assist
- Sophomore face-off specialist Owen Deady was 18-for-22 on face-offs to go with 13 ground balls while junior long stick midfielder Andrew Cassese went 1-3 on face-offs with three ground balls
- Senior defender Mike Sickler and sophomore long stick midfielder Dylan DeNaples each had one caused turnover with DeNaples adding a ground ball
- Junior goalie Liam Kelly recorded nine saves and two ground balls
- The Hounds had a 27-22 edge in ground balls, a 46-33 advantage in shots and were 14-of-15 on clearing attempts and 19-for-25 on face-offs
