Moravian Falls to Scranton in Landmark Conference Action

How It Happened
- The Royals scored the first four goals of the match before sophomore midfielder Robert Celona put the Greyhounds on the scoreboard with 8:34 left in the opening quarter. Just over a minute later, junior midfielder Adam Twist netted a man-up goal from junior attack Nick Coffaro to cut the deficit to 4-2. Scranton added two more goals while freshman attack Nick Minetti had a man-up tally with just over four minutes left in the first period to make it 6-3. The Royals scored once more to lead 7-3 after 15 minutes of action
- Scranton tallied three goals in the second quarter to push the advantage to 10-3 while junior short stick defensive midfielder Mike Willis scored a fast break goal with 3:21 left in the half to make it 10-4 at the intermission
- The Royals began the second half with five goals before junior midfielder Hunter Klapmuts found the net with just four-tenths of a second left in the third to set the score at 15-5 after 45 minutes of play
- Scranton scored five more goals in the fourth before Coffaro netted the final goal of the contest with a minute and a half to play
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had six different players score a goal with Coffaro adding three assists to his goal
- Twist, Celona, Minetti, Klapmuts and Willis all had one goal with Klapmuts adding three ground balls and both Minetti and Willis scooping up two ground balls
- Sophomore Owen Deady was 10-for-26 on face-offs to go with five ground balls while senior defender James Panico added three ground balls
- Senior short stick defensive midfielder RJ Toogood caused a pair of turnovers while senior defender Mike Sickler recorded a pair of ground balls
- Junior goalie Liam Kelly collected ten saves and four ground balls in 54 minutes of action while freshman goalie Rory Jenkins added two saves in the final six minutes of the contest
