Greyhound Women’s Volleyball Set to Start 2025 at Elmira on August 29
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s volleyball squad will begin its 2025 season by traveling to the Elmira (N.Y.) College Tournament on August 29-30, opening with the host Soaring Eagles on Friday, August 29 at 6:00 p.m.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's volleyball squad will begin its 2025 season by traveling to the Elmira (N.Y.) College Tournament on August 29-30, opening with the host Soaring Eagles on Friday, August 29 at 6:00 p.m.
First-year Head Coach Amable Martinez takes over the program this fall as the Hounds open on the road for the first time since 2002. Coach Martinez has 12 returning student-athletes including seniors setter Ally Plitnick and outside hitter Caroline Melillo. Plitnick enters the season with the chance to become the eighth player in program history to reach 2,000 career assists.
Junior middle blocker Payton Reuber is back after making the 2024 Landmark All-Conference Honorable Mention squad, and she has 421 kills and 133 blocks in her first two seasons while junior libero Sam Love starts 2025 just 201 digs shy of 1,000 in her career.
