Greyhounds Rally Past Ursinus in Four Sets
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s volleyball team rallied in the third and fourth sets to record a 3-1 non-conference victory at Ursinus College Friday evening.

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's volleyball team rallied in the third and fourth sets to record a 3-1 non-conference victory at Ursinus College Friday evening.
How It Happened
- The Bears jumped out to a 4-1 in the opening set before the Hounds pulled within a point at 4-3. Ursinus controlled the set to earn a 25-21 set win to open a 1-0 lead
- The Blue & Grey took a quick 5-1 edge to start the second set, and Moravian led the entire game to win 25-16 and even the contest at 1-1
- The Bears had a 9-2 lead in the third set, and Ursinus was up 17-12 before the Greyhounds started to rally in the third set. Down 19-17, the Hounds scored eight of the final nine points to earn a 25-20 set victory and take a 2-1 lead
- Moravian raced out to a 4-1 lead in the fourth set before Ursinus came back for a 7-6 edge. The set went back-and-forth before the Bears came within a point of winning the set at 24-19. The Greyhounds ran of seven straight points to take a 26-24 set victory and the match
Inside the Number
- Junior outside hitter Gabbie Reigner led Moravian with 12 kills and 14 digs while sophomore middle blocker Kate McBrierty also posted 12 kills to go along with a pair of blocks
- Junior middle blocker Payton Reuber registered nine kills and seven blocks while sophomore opposite hitter Ella Kilko had four kills, seven digs and three blocks
- Junior outside hitter Kelly Tempalsky recorded three kills with six digs and a pair of assists while senior setter Ally Plitnick ran the offense with 35 assists to go with 11 digs and three kills
- Junior libero Sam Love led the Hounds with 26 assists and five service aces to go with four assists while junior defensive specialist Molly Hughes had 12 digs and a pair of service aces
- Senior outside hitter Caroline Melillo contributed six digs while sophomore defensive specialist Madalyn Kocsis added a pair of digs
