BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University Department of Athletics has selected Christian Kiselica as its next Head Women's Volleyball Coach effective Monday, June 22.
"We are excited to welcome Christian Kiselica as our next Head Women's Volleyball Coach," commented Director of Athletics & Recreation Rebecca M. May. "Christian's experience across NCAA Division I and Division III athletics, combined with his success in recruiting, player development, and program leadership, make him an outstanding fit for Moravian. We are confident he will build on our strong tradition and lead our volleyball program to continued success."
Kiselica brings 13 years of collegiate coaching experience to Moravian, most recently serving as the Head Coach at NCAA Division I Lafayette College during the 2023 and 2024 seasons. Kiselica's signature win during his tenure was a 3-1 victory over Virginia Tech University, Lafayette's first-ever win over a Power 4 opponent during the Patriot League era.
"I'm excited to lead a program with strong academic tradition, a supportive community, on a beautiful campus," noted Kiselica. "I'm pumped about the competitiveness and character of this group. There's real talent here, but more importantly, there's a foundation of work ethic and togetherness that we can build something special on."
Prior to leading the Leopards, Kiselica was the Head Coach at Cedar Crest College in 2022, his first head coaching position, and he led the Falcons to a 13-9 mark that included a Colonial States Athletic Conference title and a berth in the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament.
"Division III feels like home," Kiselica said. "I love coaching student‑athletes who value both their sport and their academics, and I'm excited to return to an environment that aligns with my philosophy. My focus is on establishing a strong culture, raising our competitive standard, and building trust within the team. We want to be disciplined, connected, and improving every day!
"Our long‑term goal is to develop a consistent, championship‑caliber program that competes at the top of the Landmark Conference, our region and becomes a destination for high‑character student‑athletes," Kiselica stated.
Kiselica served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at George Washington University from 2019-22, finishing his last season at GW as the interim head coach. Prior to George Washington, Kiselica coached for three years at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), serving in numerous roles from offensive coordinator and setters' coach to defensive coordinator and interim head coach.
Kiselica is a 2017 graduate of Temple University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports and Recreation Management. He spent 2015-17 as the Temple's director of volleyball operations. In 2014, Kiselica spent the season as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Pennsylvania. A four-year member of Temple's men's club volleyball team, Kiselica helped the program to a pair top-10 finishes in the country as an outside hitter and libero.
Since leaving Lafayette, Kiselica founded and has been the club director of the Lehigh Valley Juniors Volleyball Club.
"I'm deeply connected to the Lehigh Valley volleyball community, and I'm excited to bring that energy and those relationships to Moravian," Kiselica finished.
Kiselica's first season is set to begin on Tuesday, September 1 with a non-conference match versus DeSales University beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall.
