McBrierty Honored as Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Week
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Sophomore middle blocker Kate McBrierty of Moravian University’s women’s volleyball squad has been selected the Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Sophomore middle blocker Kate McBrierty of Moravian University's women's volleyball squad has been selected the Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.
McBrierty helped the Greyhounds to a 1-1 week with 19 kills and six blocks during the week to go with a .486 hitting percentage. She had 13 kills, three blocks and a .444 hitting percentage in a 3-1 loss to Muhlenberg College, and McBrierty had six kills, three blocks and a .600 hitting percentage in a 3-0 sweep of York College of Pennsylvania.
The women's volleyball team is slated to return to action on Friday, September 12 in a non-conference match at Ursinus College beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Week is selected on Mondays by Moravian's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Sodexo will be giving each week's winner a free Starbucks drink at DeLight's Café.
