Moravian Clinches First Landmark Conference Tournament Berth since 2017 with Sweep of Drew
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s volleyball team clinched its first Landmark Conference Tournament berth since the 2017 season with a 3-0 sweep of Drew University in Johnston Hall Friday evening.

How It Happened
- The Greyhounds scored the first three points of the match, and the Blue & Grey led 6-3 before the Rangers closed within a point at 6-5. Moravian pulled away for a 15-10 edge only to see Drew get back to 17-16. The Hounds countered with five straight points to go ahead 22-16 before winning the set 25-18 for a 1-0 advantage
- The Rangers opened the second game with two points while the Blue & Grey answered with four straight and six of seven to take a 6-3 lead. Drew knotted the set at 6-6 before Moravian moved ahead 10-7. The set was tied at 1-11 when the Greyhounds ran off six straight points. The Hounds eventually had a 22-15 lead before Drew countered to pull withing 22-19. Moravian finished the set with three of the last four points to capture the game 25-20 to take a 2-0 edge
- The Greyhounds began the third set with four straight points, and Moravian led 8-3 before the Rangers scored nine of 11 points to move ahead 14-10. The Blue & Grey got within a point at 15-14; however, Drew pushed the edge back to four points at 20-16. The Hounds tied the set at 20-20 only to see the Rangers go back up by three points, 23-20. Moravian then scored five straight points to win the set 25-23 and capture the match
- The Hounds clinched their first postseason appearance and Landmark Conference Tournament berth since 2017 with the victory
Inside the Numbers
- Junior middle blocker Payton Reuber led the Blue & Grey with 14 kills to go with a pair of blocks and three digs while junior outside hitter Gabbie Reigner added 11 kills, six digs and three service aces
- Junior outside hitter Kelly Tempalsky registered eight kills and two digs while freshman middle blocker Morgan Hollland had three kills and two digs
- Sophomore opposite hitter Ella Kilko contributed two kills and five digs
- Freshman setter Aubrey Pringle paced the offense with 30 assists to go with four digs, three kills, two service aces and a pair of blocks while junior libero Sam Love added 19 digs, three assists and two service aces
- Junior defensive specialist Molly Hughes posted eight digs and two assists while sophomore defensive specialist Madalyn Kocsisi recorded five digs
