Moravian Sweeps Penn State Berks for Third Straight Victory
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s volleyball squad swept visiting Penn State Berks, 3-0, in non-conference action in Johnston Hall on Monday evening as the Greyhounds won their third straight contest.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's volleyball squad swept visiting Penn State Berks, 3-0, in non-conference action in Johnston Hall on Monday evening as the Greyhounds won their third straight contest.
How It Happened
- The Hounds raced out to a 12-2 lead in the opening set before going on to take 25-12 set win
- The second game was tied at 6-6 early when the Blue & Grey went on a 6-0 run to build a 12-6 advantage. Moravian stretched the lead to capture the set 25-13 for a 2-0 edge
- The Greyhounds had a slim 5-4 advantage in the third set before scoring 20 of the final 24 points to take a 25-8 win and sweep the contest
Inside the Number
- Sophomore middle blocker Kate McBrierty led Moravian with seven kills to go with four blocks while junior middle blocker Payton Reuber added six kills and three blocks
- Freshman outside hitter Adi Schwerdtfeger also contributed six kills to go with a pair of blocks while freshman middle blocker Morgan Holland had three kills and a block in her first career action
- Senior outside hitter Caroline Melillo recorded three kills and four digs while freshman setter Aubrey Pringle posted 18 assists, six digs and three kills
- Sophomore opposite hitter Ella Kilko registered two kills and four blocks while freshman outside hitter Lauren Donnelly added two kills, three digs and a pair of service aces
- Junior libero Sam Love contributed three digs, two assists and two service aces while senior setter Ally Plitnick had five assists and two digs
- Junior outside hitters Gabbie Reigner and Kelly Tempalsky both had one kill and three digs while junior defensive specialist Molly Hughes added three sigs and two service aces
- Junior defensive specialist Morgan Hughes posted two sigs while sophomore defensive specialist Madalyn Kocsis had four digs and sophomore defensive specialist Emma Granger had one dig
