Ambrosino, Catilao-Sanchez & Snyder Selected 2025 Moravian Field Hockey Captains
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey squad has selected senior forward Gia Ambrosino, senior defender Carolina Catilao-Sanchez and junior midfielder Maddie Snyder as captains for the 2025 season.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey squad has selected senior forward Gia Ambrosino, senior defender Carolina Catilao-Sanchez and junior midfielder Maddie Snyder as captains for the 2025 season.
"Lina, Maddie, and Gia have set the standard through their leadership and example during their time at Moravian," commented Head Coach Sarah Dalrymple. "Being selected as captains is a well-deserved recognition of their commitment and impact on our program."
Ambrosino has played in 51 matches in her career for the Greyhounds, and she was named to the 2024. Landmark All-Conference First Team and the 2023 Landmark All-Conference Second Team. Ambrosino has contributed 21 goals and four assists for 46 points in three seasons, and she has netted seven match-winning goals in her career.
Catilao-Sanchez, who is in her second year as a team captain for the Blue & Grey, has played in 45 matches with 35 starts in her first three years with the program, and she helped the Greyhounds to three shutouts in 2024 with a pair of defensive saves.
Snyder has started all 37 career contests in her first two seasons with with Hounds, and she has recorded one assist.
Moravian is scheduled to begin the 2025 campaign on Saturday, August 30 with a non-conference match at DeSales University beginning at 1:00 p.m.
