Hounds Open Landmark Conference Slate with Victory at Juniata

HUNTINGDON, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey squad opened its 2025 Landmark Conference season with a 3-1 victory at Juniata College Saturday afternoon.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey squad opened its 2025 Landmark Conference season with a 3-1 victory at Juniata College Saturday afternoon.

  • The took a 1-0 lead with just under two minutes remaining in the opening period as senior forward Gia Ambrosino netted an unassisted goal
  • The Greyhounds held the 1-0 advantage through the second period and into the intermission
  • Moravian extended the lead to 2-0 in the 33rd minute as senior midfielder Megan Felmly tipped in a pass from graduate student midfielder Jordan Sponzo on a penalty corner
  • The Eagles got onto the scoreboard with just ten seconds remaining in the third quarter to cut the Hounds' edge to 2-1
  • The Blue & Grey added an insurance goal with roughly four minutes remaining as junior midfielder Maddie Snyder scored off a pass from Sponzo on another penalty corner
