Moravian Falls to Elizabethtown in Final Match of 2025
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey team fell to visiting Elizabethtown College, 6-2, in Landmark Conference action on John Makuvek Field Wednesday evening to close out the 2025 season.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey team fell to visiting Elizabethtown College, 6-2, in Landmark Conference action on John Makuvek Field Wednesday evening to close out the 2025 season.
How It Happened
- The Blue Jays scored twice in the first quarter with goals in the eighth and tenth minutes to lead 2-0 after 15 minutes of action
- Elizabethtown notched a goal in the second quarter to lead 3-0 at the intermission
- The Blue Jays stretched the edge to 4-0 in the 39th minute
- The Greyhounds got onto the scoreboard in the 43rd minute on a penalty corner as freshman midfielder Emily Davis tipped in a pass from junior midfielder Maddie Snyder into the far corner of the cage to make it 4-1 after three quarters of action
- Elizabethtown scored in the 51st minute to restore its four-goal lead
- Moravian answered less than a minute later as sophomore forward Samatha Culver put a rebound of a saved shot into the net
- The Blue Jays tacked on one more goal in the 59th minute to finish off the scoring
Inside the Numbers
- Davis netted her first career goal while Culver tallied her fourth goal of the season and sixth of her career
- Snyder earned her third assist of the year to give her four in her career
- Junior goalie Maia Machado registered 11 saves in 45 minutes of action while senior Jessica Knox made two saves in the 15 minutes of the contest
- Freshman defender Mackenzie Koger recorded her first career defensive save
