Greyhounds Drop Overtime Match to Susquehanna
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey squad dropped a 3-2 overtime decision to visiting Susquehanna University in Landmark Conference action on John Makuvek Field Saturday afternoon.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey squad dropped a 3-2 overtime decision to visiting Susquehanna University in Landmark Conference action on John Makuvek Field Saturday afternoon.
How It Happened
- The River Hawks opened the scoring with a goal in the 12th minute to lead 1-0 after the first quarter of action
- Neither squad found the cage in the second quarter with Susquehanna taking the 1-0 edge into halftime
- The Greyhounds evened the match in the 42nd minute as senior forward Gia Ambrosino scored off a pass from junior midfielder Maddie Snyder on penalty corner
- Just about two minutes later, Moravian took a 2-1 lead when sophomore forward Samatha Culver netted an unassisted goal
- Susquehanna tied the contest again at 2-2 in the 56th minute on an unassisted tally to force overtime
- The River Hawks netted the game-winning goal three and a half minutes into the extra session
Inside the Numbers
- Ambrosino's goal was her team-leading 14th of the season, and it increased her career total to 36 to move into a tie for second in school history
- Culver notched her third goal of the year and fifth of her career while Snyder recorded her second assist of the fall and third of her career
- Junior goalie Maia Machado registered seven saves in the match
