Catilao-Sanchez & Ambrosino Selected to Landmark All-Conference Field Hockey Teams
TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian University field hockey team has had a pair student-athletes selected to the 2025 Landmark All-Conference Teams with senior defender Carolina Catilao-Sanchez being named to the All-Conference First Team and senior forward Gia Ambrosino making the All-Conference Second Team.
TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian University field hockey team has had a pair student-athletes selected to the 2025 Landmark All-Conference Teams with senior defender Carolina Catilao-Sanchez being named to the All-Conference First Team and senior forward Gia Ambrosino making the All-Conference Second Team.
Moravian, led by sixth year Head Coach Sarah Dalrymple, who was in her fifth year on the field due to the pandemic, completed the year at 6-12 overall and 2-7 in Landmark Conference action.
"Both Lina and Gia have made tremendous contributions to our program," stated Dalrymple. "Gia's presence on the forward line and Lina's dynamic play from the backfield have elevated our team on and off the field. These conference honors are well-deserved recognition of their hard work."
Catilao-Sanchez, who garnered her first postseason accolade, recorded one defensive save this season while starting all 18 contests and helping Moravian record four shutouts. Catilao-Sanchez finished her career with three defensive saves while playing in 63 matches with 53 starts.
Ambrosino, who made the Landmark All-Conference First Team in 2024 and the Second Team in 2023, led the Hounds in scoring this season with 15 goals and one assist including five game-winning goals. Ambrosino registered 36 goals and five assists with 12 game-winning goals in 69 career matches for the Hounds. She finished her career tied for second in program history with 36 goals and sixth all-time with 77 points.
