BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey squad dropped a hard-fought, 2-1 decision to visiting Lycoming College in Landmark Conference action Saturday on Johns Makuvek Field.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey squad dropped a hard-fought, 2-1 decision to visiting Lycoming College in Landmark Conference action Saturday on Johns Makuvek Field.
How It Happened
- The teams played a scoreless first quarter with the Hounds having a 5-2 edge in shots
- The Warriors got onto the scoreboard with under five minutes remaining in the second quarter to take a 1-0 lead into the intermission
- Moravian countered just over a minute into the second half when senior forward Gia Ambrosino put a pass from sophomore forward Samantha Culver into the net to even the contest at 1-1
- Lycoming ended up netting the winning goal with just over ten minutes left in the contest
Inside the Numbers
- Ambrosino's tally was her team-leading 13th of the season, and it increased her career total to 35, which is third in school history
- Culver earned her fourth assist of the season and of her career
- Junior goalie Maia Machado registered five saves in the contest
- The Hounds held a 9-6 advantage in penalty corners while the Warriors had a 13-12 edge in shots
