Nine Greyhounds Receive 2026 Men’s USTFCCCA Indoor All-Metro Region Honors
NEW ORLEANS, La. --- The Moravian University men’s indoor track & field squad had nine student-athletes named as 2026 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region honorees garnering a total of 12 All-Metro Region honors.

The USTFCCCA is in its 11th year of naming All-Region selections for indoor and outdoor track & field at the NCAA Division III level after having All-Region honors in cross country for a number of years. New in 2026 for a student-athlete to earn All-Region honors, an athlete must be ranked in the top-8 of an individual event in the region according to the final Track & Field Results Reporting System data or be part of a top-8 relay team. Moravian is part of the Metro Region.
The Hounds had five individuals and a relay squad garner All-Region honorees on the men's team. Graduate student Cole Stanchina had the second fastest time in the 5,000-meter run in the region at 14:43.75 run, and he was seventh in the 3,000-meter run in 8:32.77 while senior Bryan Kerchner was fourth in the 5,000-meter run at 14:51.45 and seventh in the mile run in 4:13.49. Junior Gavin Hefferan was ranked eighth both in the 3,000-meter run at 8:33.19 and the 5,000-meter run at 14:54.77 while freshman Parker Hamilton was fourth in the shot put at 15.19 meters (49-10) and sophomore Julius Reyes was also fourth in the 35-pound weight throw at 15.89 meters (52-1.75).
Moravian's 4x400-meter relay squad of graduate student Kyle Weiss, sophomores Delferson Contreras and Owen Smith and freshman Ramses Valera was fifth in the Metro Region with a school record time of 3:21.33.
