Moravian Participates in John & Carol Covert Classic at Lehigh
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men’s outdoor track & field squad had one event win and a pair of All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying marks in the Lehigh University John and Carol Covert Classic at the Goodman campus on Friday and Saturday.

Moravian Event Winners
- Junior Anthony Morillo won the discus with an AARTFC qualifying toss of 46.88 meters (153-9)
Moravian Top 10 Results
- Freshman Jayden Walls was the runner-up in the high jump at 1.86 meters (6-1.25)
- Sophomore Julius Reyes finished second in the discus with an AARTFC qualifying distance of 45.24 meters (148-5) while freshman Alex Reyes was eighth at 36.12 meters (118-6)
- Senior Bryan Kerchner took third in the 800-meter run at 1:56.70
- Senior Liam Maguire placed fourth in the 110-meter high hurdles in 16.57 seconds while freshman Jordan Maldanado took fifth in 17.25 seconds
- Graduate student Kyle Weiss took sixth in the long jump with a leap of 6.11 meters (20-0.5) while Walls placed seventh at 6.01 meters (19-8.75) and sophomore Ricky Krouse was eighth at 5.54 meters (18-2.25)
- Julius Reyes finished sixth in the hammer throw on Friday with a toss of 47.45 meters (155-8) while Morillo was eighth at 44.95 meters (147-5)
- Freshman Rei Kikuchi was sixth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:03.01
- Sophomore Marcus Morales placed sixth in the javelin Friday with a distance of 51.85 meters (170-1) while Krouse took seventh at 49.97 meters (163-11), freshman Jalen Bey was eighth with a mark of 49.35 meters (161-11), freshman Jeremiah Peguero finished ninth at 49.06 meters (160-11) and sophomore Chris Downey was tenth at 48.76 meters (159-11)
- Julius Reyes finished sixth in the shot put with a toss of 13.82 meters (45-4.25) while freshman Parker Hamilton was ninth at 13.16 meters (43-2.25) and Morillo took tenth at 13.06 meters (42-10.25)
- Freshman Brady McKenna was tied for sixth in the pole vault at 4.15 meters (13-7.25) while sophomore Diego Portales tied for tenth at 3.70 meters (12-1.5)
- Senior Jackson Gaffney placed seventh in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 10:46.65
