Moravian Claims First Landmark Conference Title Since 2019 & 11th Landmark Outdoor Championship
HUNTINGDON, Pa. --- The Moravian University men’s outdoor track & field squad captured the 2026 Landmark Conference Outdoor Championship by 36.5 points as the program won its 11th Landmark outdoor title and 14th overall outdoor crown Sunday at Juniata College after the second day of competition.

Landmark Conference Championships
- The Greyhounds captured their 11th Landmark Conference Outdoor Championship and first since 2019
- The title was Moravian's 14th outdoor title in program history. The Hounds also have 15 indoor conference championships including 12 since the Landmark Conference began competition in 2007-08
How It Happened
- Moravian recorded 221 points while Susquehanna University was second with 184.5 points and The Catholic University of America finished third at 164 points
- The Blue & Grey won three individual titles of the 20 events
- The Greyhounds also recorded 13 All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying marks during the meet including 11 on Sunday
- Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Jesse Baumann and his assistant coaches - Jonathan D'Ottavio (throws), Beth Ann Davies (pole vault), Ryan Harper (throws), Sean McFarland (sprints), David Scheck (hurdles), Vance Clarke (jumps), Natalie Stabilito (distance) - were named the 2026 Landmark Conference Men's Outdoor Coaching Staff of the Year
Moravian Event Winners
- Sophomore Marcus Morales won the javelin with an AARTFC qualifying toss of 55.98 meters (183-8) to score ten points
- Senior Jacob Fenstermaker captured the 100-meter dash final in a personal best and AARTFC qualifying time of 10.67 seconds to earn ten points
Moravian Top 8 Scoring Finishes
- Junior Gavin Hefferan was the runner-up in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in an AARTFC qualifying time of 9:36.60 to garner eight points while junior Adam Plummer took fourth in 10:07.21 to score five points and junior Nate Moore placed seventh in 10:13.90 for two points
- Freshman Jeremiah Peguero finished second in the javelin with a personal best and AARTFC qualifying distance 54.89 meters (180-1) to earn eight points while freshman Jalen Bey took fourth at a PR of 51.86 meters (170-1) to score five points and sophomore Chris Downey placed fifth with a PR toss of 50.46 meters (165-6) for four points
- Freshman Justin Nunes placed second in the triple jump with an AARTFC qualifying distance of 13.65 meters (44-9.5) for eight points while freshman Jayden Walls took eighth at 12.43 meters (40-9.5) to score one point
- Walls was the runner-up in the high jump at 1.88 meters (6-2) to garner eight points
- Fenstermaker took second in the 200-meter dash with a PR and AARTFC qualifying time of 21.93 seconds to record eight points while graduate student Kyle Weiss placed sixth in 22.51 seconds for three points
- Junior Anthony Morillo finished second in the discus with an AARTFC qualifying toss of 46.12 meters (151-3) for eight points while sophomore Julius Reyes took third with an AARTFC qualifying mark of 44.42 meters (145-9) to pick up six points
- The Hounds' 4x100-meter relay squad of Fenstermaker, Weiss and sophomores Delferson Contreras and Owen Smith finished second in an AARTFC qualifying time of 42.24 seconds to record eight points
- Moravian's 4x400-meter relay team of Weiss, Contreras, Smith and freshman Ramses Valera was also the runner-up with an AARTFC qualifying time of 3:20.29 to earn eight points
- Junior Mael Tshiyonga placed third in the 110-meter hurdles in a PR and AARTFC qualifying time of 15.18 seconds to score six points while senior Liam Maguire took seventh in 15.92 seconds to earn two points
- Weiss finished third in the 400-meter dash in a time of 49.74 seconds to score six points while Contreras took fourth in 49.81 seconds for five points and Smith placed fifth at 49.96 seconds for four points
- Smith took fourth in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 55.24 seconds to earn five points
- Hefferan placed fourth in the 5,000-meter run 15:10.33 to garner five points while senior Bryan Kerchner took sixth in 15:15.43 to record three points
- Kerchner was fifth in the 800-meter run in 1:57.55 to net four points
