Moravian Tied for 26th at AARTFC Championships after Opening Day Action
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. --- The Moravian University men’s outdoor track & field squad is tied for 26th of 32 teams with three points after the first day of action Wednesday in the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference Outdoor Championships at Ursinus College.

Moravian Finishers
- Junior Gavin Hefferan placed seventh in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:28.36 to score two points for the Hounds
- Moravian's 4x400-meter relay team of graduate student Kyle Weiss, sophomores Owen Smith and Delferson Contreras and freshman Ramses Valera took eighth in a time of 3:17.77 to earn one point for the Blue & Grey
- The Greyhounds' 4x100-meter relay squad of Weiss, Smith, senior Jacob Fenstermaker and sophomore CJ Moore finished ninth in the preliminaries a time of 41.82 seconds, missing the finals by a thousandth of a second
- Sophomore Marcus Morales was tenth in the javelin with a toss of 54.29 meters (178-1) while freshman Jeremiah Peguero took 16th at 52.70 meters (172-11)
- Junior Nate Moore finished 14th in the 10,000-meter run in a time of 33:05.01 while sophomore Riley Trigo was 16th in 33:17.91
- Fenstermaker placed 15th in the preliminaries of the 100-meter dash in 10.87 seconds
- Freshman Jayden Walls finished 27th in the long jump at a distance of 6.32 meters (20-9)
- Junior Mael Tshiyonga took 30th in the 110-meter high hurdles in a time of 15.36 seconds
