LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- The Moravian University softball squad is ranked 16th in the final 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association/GoRout Division III Top 25 Poll released Tuesday.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- The Moravian University softball squad is ranked 16th in the final 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association/GoRout Division III Top 25 Poll released Tuesday.
The Greyhounds finished the 2026 season with a 35-12 mark, and the program won its fourth straight and 14th overall Landmark Conference title, its 21st overall conference title and made the 22nd appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament where the Hounds won their eighth regional title, capturing the Bethlehem (Pa.) Regional before falling to No. 5 Linfield (Ore.) University in the McMinnville (Ore.) Super Regional.
In addition to the two games at Linfield, Moravian played four other contests against teams in the final top 25, splitting with No. 15 Muhlenberg College on March 24, winning 4-0 and falling, 2-1, defeating No. 20 Case Western Reserve (Ohio) University, 6-3, in Florida on March 9, and falling to No. 22 Swarthmore College, 8-2, on March 10. The Hounds defeated then No. 21 Westfield State (Mass.) University, 2-1 in eight innings in the Bethlehem (Pa.) Regional, and Westfield State received votes in the final poll.
