Greyhounds Capture Third Consecutive Landmark Conference Win with Victory over Juniata

How It Happened
- The Eagles hit the opening three-pointer of the game while junior guard Lizzie Lustig answered to knot the score at 3-3. The squads traded points until senior guard Juliana Vassallo drained a three-pointer to put the Greyhounds in the lead for good at 12-9 with 5:46 left in the first quarter. Up just a point at 12-11, the Blue & Grey finished the period with an 8-2 run as two free throws by Lustig had the Hounds ahead 20-13 after ten minutes of action
- Moravian netted the first ten points of the second quarter to stretch the lead to 30-13 just over four minutes into the period. The Hounds' advantage reached 21 points on three occasions including the end of the quarter as Lustig beat the buzzer with a long three-pointer to make it 43-22 for Greyhounds at the break
- The Eagles would close within 11 points at 47-36 midway through the third quarter; however, the Blue & Grey led 59-42 after 30 minutes of play
- Moravian pushed the edge to as many as 24 points at 70-46 with 3:44 to play in the contest
Inside the Numbers
- The Greyhounds had four players in double figures led by Lustig, who posted 18 points and 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season and fifth of her career, and Lustig also added three assists
- Vassallo tossed in 13 points to go with a pair of rebounds while junior forward Lanie Herbert recorded 12 points, seven boards and three blocked shots of the bench
- Sophomore guard Megan Elias posted 11 points, five rebounds and four assists while junior forward Grace Steffen contributed eight points and five boards
- Sophomore guard Ellie Wallbillich and senior guard Jayda Cartagena both had four points with Wallbillich adding three rebounds and Cartagena posting two boards and two assists
- Sophomore forwards Kate Donaldson and Brynn Ohlhoff each netted two points
- The Hounds shot 27-for-62 from the field (43.5 percent), 6-for-14 on three-pointers and 14-for-15 at the foul line
- The Blue & Grey also recorded a 43-40 edge in rebounds
