Herbert Selected as Moravian Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Week
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Junior Lanie Herbert from the Moravian University’s women’s basketball squad has been selected as the Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Junior Lanie Herbert from the Moravian University's women's basketball squad has been selected as the Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.
Herbert averaged a double-double of 12.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game while helping Moravian to a pair of Landmark Conference victories as the Greyhounds clinched the fifth seed in the 2026 Landmark Conference Tournament. She was 11-for-23 from the field and 2-for-4 at the foul line to go with five blocked shots in 46 minutes of action. Herbert had 10 points and 10 rebounds for her first double-double of the season as Moravian rallied from a 20-point deficit to top Drew University, 75-74, and she added 14 points, 12 rebounds and four blocked shots in a 60-46 victory at Juniata College to close out the regular season.
The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, February 23 in a Landmark Conference Tournament First Round game at The Catholic University of America tipping off at 7:00 p.m. in Washington, D.C.
The Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Week is selected on Mondays by Moravian's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Sodexo will be giving each week's winner a free Starbucks drink at DeLight's Café.
