11 Greyhounds Garner Landmark Women’s Indoor Track & Field All-Conference Honors
TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian University women’s indoor track & field team had a total of 11 student-athletes honored by the Landmark Conference for their performances at the 2026 Landmark Indoor Championships last weekend at Susquehanna University.
TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian University women’s indoor track & field team had a total of 11 student-athletes honored by the Landmark Conference for their performances at the 2026 Landmark Indoor Championships last weekend at Susquehanna University.
The Hounds, who finished second in the meet, had 11 student-athletes earn 12 All-Conference honors selections.
The Greyhounds had two student-athletes garner All-Conference First Team accolades for winning conference titles as senior Karalyn Vashey repeated as the 20-pound weight throw champion and sophomore Emma Shafnisky won the 60-meter hurdles in school record time.
Moravian had six Second Team honorees for finishing as the runner-up in their events including Shafnisky in the long jump, senior Tara Smurla in the 5,000-meter run, senior Heather Adams in the weight throw, senior Ali Haefele in the high jump, sophomore Tessa Hopkins in the pole vault and senior Margie Rayne in the shot put.
The Hounds had four student-athletes garner Honorable Mention selections sophomore Emerson Beamer and freshmen Kiley Amend, Ligia Parada Garcia and Kate Veivia in the Distance Medley Relay.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Friday and Saturday, March 6-7 at the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championships being hosted at the New York City Armory.
