BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University has selected Morgan Graham as Head Women's Lacrosse Coach effective Monday, October 6.
"We are extremely excited to welcome Morgan to the Greyhound community," stated Director of Athletics Mary Beth Spirk. "She has been successful in her young career as an assistant coach, and I know that Morgan is ready to take the next step to lead the women's lacrosse team as the head coach. Her enthusiasm and energy were evident, but more importantly Morgan's ability to lead stood out for me. I am confident she will be a strong leader to our student-athletes as well as becoming a vital member of our Athletic Department."
Graham comes to Moravian after three seasons as Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach at Muhlenberg College where she assisted the Mules to the Centennial Conference Tournament the last three seasons. In 2024, Graham helped Muhlenberg to its best season in program history with its first conference playoff victory and most wins in a season.
"What drew me to the position was the opportunity this program holds," Graham said. "I'm excited to continue growing this program to its full potential. From the moment I stepped onto campus it felt right, I instantaneously felt support and excitement from the Greyhound community. I'm excited to build something special here and help my student-athletes succeed on and off the field."
Graham began her coaching career as a graduate assistant coach and interim head coach at NCAA Division II Georgian Court University during the 2020-22 seasons, helping the Lions to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship in 2021 and 2022. She has also served as Head Coach for STEPS Club in Chester, New Jersey and a Lead Evaluator and Coach for American Select Lacrosse the last two years.
"What excites me the most is being able to write my own script, lead a program and shape a positive and winning culture," noted Graham. "I've been fortunate enough to have worked and coached under multiple successful coaches, and I'm excited to take what I have learned and implement it to my own vision of the program."
Graham earned her bachelor's degree in 2019 from Kean (N.J.) University and a master's in business administration from Georgian Court in 2022. While at Kean, Graham was a four-year starter for the Cougars, and she finished with 208 points in 70 career matches while being selected to the All-New Jersey Athletic Conference First Team in both 2018 and 2019. Graham was a member of the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Boardwalk All-Region Second Team in 2018.
"In my first season, my expectation is to establish a strong foundation for the program," explained Graham. "That means focusing on continuing to build onto the team culture, developing consistency in how we train and compete, and helping our student-athletes grow both on and off the field. Success to me in year one is about setting the tone for the future and creating an environment where my players can thrive."
The Greyhounds are slated to begin the 2026 season on Wednesday, February 18 at Muhlenberg College, and Moravian's home opener is set for Saturday, February 21 versus Ursinus College on John Makuvek Field.
"I want to thank Director of Athletics Mary Beth Spirk and the hiring committee for believing in me as a first-time collegiate head coach and giving me this opportunity. I am excited to get started and lead this program," finished Graham.
