Hounds Win Fourth Straight with Victory over Elizabethtown to End Regular Season
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s lacrosse team recorded a 16-7 victory over visiting Elizabethtown College in Landmark Conference action on John Makuvek Field Wednesday evening to close out the 2026 regular season with a four-match winning streak.

How It Happened
- The Greyhounds, who locked up the third seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament, opened the scoring just 54 seconds into the contest as graduate student midfielder Kerry Seiler four the net. The Blue & Grey scored five more times in the period to lead 6-0 after 15 minutes of action with Seiler adding another goal and junior midfielder Bailey Leatherman, junior attack Melissa Elefonte, sophomore midfielder Kathryn Hunsinger and freshman attack Faith Mahoskey each tallying one goal
- Hunsinger made it 8-0 with a goal just 28 seconds into the second quarter before the Blue Jays got on the scoreboard. Sophomore midfielder Ella Steirer added a goal while Elizabethtown scored again to set the score at 8-2 with just under ten minutes left in the half. The Hounds finished the half with a 4-0 run to set the advantage to 12-2 at the intermission with Mahoskey, Hunsinger, Steirer and freshman midfielder Cora Sollenberger all scoring a goal during the run
- Moravian scored the only four goals put on the scoreboard in the third quarter as Mahoskey tallied twice and Hunsinger and Steirer both had one goal to stretch the edge to 16-2 after 45 minutes of play
- Elizabethtown scored five times in the fourth quarter while keeping the Hounds from scoring in the period
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had eight different players record a point led by Hunsinger, who had four goals and four assists to go with six draw controls
- Mahoskey also netted four goals while Steirer had a hat trick with three goals
- Seiler posted two goals and an assist to go along with three ground balls and three draw controls while Elefonte contributed a goal and four assists
- Sollenberger and Leatherman each netted one goal while senior attack Victoria Salica had an assist
- Sophomore defender Alanna McBrearty scooped up four ground balls to go with a pair of caused turnovers while senior midfielder Gianna Lotito added four ground balls and three caused turnovers and junior midfielder Reagan Reiner had three ground balls and two caused turnovers
- Sophomore goalie Lily Parker registered six saves and two ground balls in 56 minutes of action while sophomore Cailin Filep had one save in the final four minutes of play
- The Hounds had a 26-19 edge in shots, a 22-14 advantage in ground balls and were 17-for-17 on clearing attempts while both squads had 12 draw controls
