Five Hounds Selected as 2026 Moravian Women’s Lacrosse Captains
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s lacrosse squad has named seniors midfielder/defender Gianna Lotito and defender Grace Nelson, juniors attack Melissa Elefonte midfielder Bailey Leatherman and sophomore defender Alanna McBrearty as captains for the 2026 season.

"We're excited to announce these five as captains for the 2026 season," commented first-year Head Coach Morgan Graham. "Each of them brings a unique leadership style, strong work ethic and commitment to this team both on and off the field. They lead by example and cultivate a positive team culture."
The group will lead a Greyhound squad that includes 18 student-athletes that were part of the Hounds' 10-8 squad last spring that reached the Landmark Conference Tournament for the seventh straight tournament.
Lotito has recorded 21 goals, nine assists, 54 ground balls, 25 caused turnovers and eight draw controls in 54 career matches while Nelson is in her third season with the Blue & Grey, and she has eight ground balls and four caused turnovers in 32 career contests. Elefonte has registered 60 goals and 39 assists to go with 43 ground balls, 18 caused turnovers and a pair of draw controls in 37 career starts while Leatherman has contributed 23 goals, seven assists, 17 ground balls, 16 draw controls and seven caused turnovers in 34 matches and McBrearty has added 12 ground balls and six caused turnovers in 17 matches.
The Greyhounds are set to play their 2026 season home opener versus Ursinus College in a non-conference match on Saturday, February 21 at 1:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
