Hounds Shutout Delaware Valley in Hilton Head
HILTON HEAD, S.C. --- The Moravian University women’s lacrosse team posted a 19-0 shutout win over Delaware Valley University in non-conference action at Crossings Park in Hilton Head for the program’s first shutout victory since 2018.

How It Happened
- The Greyhounds jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first 2:05 of the contest with unassisted goals by senior midfielder Gianna Lotito, graduate student midfielder Kerry Seiler and sophomore midfielder Kathyn Hunsinger. The trio all scored again to push the advantage to 6-0 with 9:44 to play in the opening period. Hunsinger found the net with just over five minutes to go in the first quarter for a hat trick while Seiler scored just over a minute later. Senior attack Victoria Salica scored off a Hunsinger pass with just under two minutes on the clock as the Blue & Grey led 9-0 after 15 minutes of action
- Seiler pushed the advantage into double digits with an unassisted goal three and a half minutes into the second quarter. Seiler and Hunsinger each added one more goal as Moravian took a 12-0 edge into the intermission
- The Hounds tallied five goals in the third quarter with freshman attack Kayla Glaeser scoring twice and Seiler, junior midfielder Bailey Leatherman and freshman midfielder Cora Sollenberger each finding the net once to stretch the advantage to 17-0 after 45 minutes of play
- The Greyhounds had a pair of goals in the final period with Leatherman and sophomore attack Faith Mahoskey both scoring
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had ten different players record a point led by Seiler, who had six goals to go with three draw controls and a pair of ground balls
- Hunsinger contributed four goals, an assist and three draw controls while Glaeser, Leatherman and Lotito each netted two goals with Leatherman and Lotito both adding three draw controls and Lotito scooping up three ground balls
- Sollenberger posted a goal and two assists while Mahoskey and Salica each tallied one goal
- Freshman midfielder Alana Sollenberger added three assists while junior attack Melissa Elefonte had one assist and two ground balls
- Sophomore midfielder Ella Steirer and junior midfielder Reagan Reiner each scooped up two ground balls
- Sophomore Lily Parker started in goal and made two saves in the first half while senior Kayla Graef registered three saves and a pair of ground balls in the second half
- The Blue & Grey held a 36-7 advantage in shots, a 19-8 edge in ground balls, a 14-7 advantage in draw controls and were 9-for-9 on clearing attempts
- The Hounds' last shutout was also by a 19-0 score as the program blanked Juniata College on March 24, 2018
