Moravian Falls to Ursinus in 2026 Home Opener
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s lacrosse squad fell to visiting Ursinus College, 14-4, in non-conference action in the Greyhounds’ 2026 home opener on John Makuvek Field Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
- The Bears scored the only four goals in the first quarter to lead, 4-0, after 15 minutes of action, and Ursinus added three more goals to start the second quarter. Senior attack Victoria Salica got the Hounds on the scoreboard with a woman-up goal with 3:16 left in the second quarter to make it 7-1 for the Bears at the intermission
- Sophomore midfielder Ella Steirer found the net just 37 seconds into the second half as Moravian closed within five goals; however, Ursinus added two more tallies to lead 9-2 after 45 minutes of play
- The Blue & Grey netted two goals in the fourth quarter as graduate student midfielder Kerry Seiler and sophomore midfielder Kathryn Hunsinger both found the net
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had five players record a point with Seiler contributing a goal and an assist to go along with four ground balls, two draw controls and a pair of caused turnovers
- Hunsinger, Salica and Steirer all had one goal with Steirer registering four ground balls and three caused turnovers
- Junior midfielder Bailey Leatherman had one assist while senior midfielder/defender Gianna Lotito had three ground balls and two draw controls
- Junior defender Maia Machado and sophomore defender Alanna McBrearty each scooped up two ground balls
- Sophomore goalie Lily Parker recorded 16 saves to go with three ground balls
- The Hounds were 20-for-25 on clearing attempts
