Greyhounds Set to Begin 2026 Season at Kean on February 10
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University baseball squad is set to start the 2026 season with a non-conference game at Kean (N.J.) University on Tuesday, February 10 with first pitch set 3:00 p.m.

Fourth-year Head Coach Douglas Coe has 32 student-athletes returning from last year's squad.
Coach Coe returns six starters in the field led by sophomore infielder/outfielder Troy Rabosky, who made the Landmark All-Conference Honorable Mention Team last spring after hitting .267 with 36 hits, 34 runs, 33 RBIs and seven home runs in his debut season. The Hounds also welcome back junior outfielder Matt Westcott, who contributed 19 hits, 12 runs and 15 RBIs, sophomore shortstop David Vozzo, who added 34 hits, 32 runs, 12 doubles, 11 stolen bases, two homers and 15 RBIs, sophomore catcher Ronnie Werkheiser, who recorded 16 hits, 12 runs, three homers and 18 RBIs, sophomore outfielder Luke Keitsock, who posted 20 hits, 14 runs, two home runs and ten RBIs, and sophomore infielder Nathan Jones, who had 18 hits and 12 RBIs in 26 starts.
Bringing playing experience to the field are senior first baseman Sean Superka, who registered five hits, six runs, a homer and five RBIs, sophomore infielder Emmit Budick, who has four hits and three runs, outfielder Dominic Venini, who added five runs and two hits last spring, junior first baseman/pitcher Ryan Hoffman, who contributed three hits and two RBIs and senior infielder James Ruban III, who scored twice.
The Greyhounds return 19 pitchers with collegiate experience. Graduate student Matt Snyder leads the staff after a 6-5 mark last spring with one save, a 4.21 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 47 innings of action. Sophomore Andrew Sagrestano posted a 2-4 record a year ago with 34 strikeouts in 39.1 innings while sophomore Cam Elicier returns after 21 strikeouts in 25.1 innings of work. Junior Nick Leonard had a 2-2 mark, two saves and 22 strikeouts in 19 innings on the mound while junior Wes Griffith added four strikeouts in 15.2 innings of work. Senior Ross Huffman recorded 15 strikeouts in 20 innings before an injury while sophomore EJ Youngling also has his season cut short with an injury after posting nine strikeouts in 14.1 innings. Sophomore Antonio Albanese recorded nine strikeouts in 6.2 innings before an injury sidelined him early in the season.
Junior Ryan Grill had a pair of strikeouts in ten innings while sophomore Luke Piripavel added four strikeouts in 7.2 innings of action. Junior Caden Ward posted four strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work while junior Nate McBride saw six innings of action with three strikeouts. Junior sophomore Ben Cogar tossed 4.2 innings with three strikeouts while sophomore Chase Wengryn had one strikeout in one inning. Senior Stefano Garofalo had three strikeouts in an inning of work while senior Max Sponheimer added a strikeout in two-thirds of an inning and Hoffman added one strikeout in a third of an inning.
Moravian has a pair of pitchers likely to miss season in sophomores Jack Steinel, who posted eight strikeouts in 14.2 innings of action, Tyler Bonelli, who had seven strikeouts in 12.2 innings last spring, as they recover from off season injuries.
