Moravian Walks Off in 12th with Victory over Susquehanna in 2026 Home Opener
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University baseball squad earned a 7-6, 12-inning walk-off victory over visiting Susquehanna University Friday in the Greyhounds’ 2026 home opener at Gillespie Field to begin a Landmark Conference series.

How It Happened
- The River Hawks opened the scoring with two runs in the top of the third inning
- The Hounds countered with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth to knot the score at 2-2. Sophomore left fielder Troy Rabosky connected on a two-out, solo home run to get Moravian on the scoreboard. Senior first baseman Sean Superka followed with a single before freshman second baseman Jack Cappo ripped an RBI double down the left field line as Superka raced around the bases
- Susquehanna moved back on top, 3-2, with a run in the fifth frame
- The Blue & Grey took a 4-3 lead with two runs in the sixth inning. Sophomore shortstop David Vozzo led off the frame with a solo home run to center field, his second homer of the season and fourth of his career. Two batters later, Rabosky connected on another solo homer, his team-leading fourth home run of the season and the 11th of his career to move into ninth in program history
- The River Hawks plated two runs in the top of the seventh for a 5-4 edge
- Moravian answered with a run in the bottom of the seventh to knot the game again at 5-5. Freshman right fielder John Phillips drew a one-out walk, and he moved to third on a double from Vozzo. Rabosky ripped a two-out, RBI single down the left field line to send Phillips across the plate
- Susquehanna pulled ahead, 6-5, with a run in the top of the 11th inning
- The Greyhounds also scored a run in the 11th to tie the contest again at 6-6. Vozzo hit a two-out double and raced home on an RBI single from sophomore center fielder Luke Keitsock
- Moravian earned its second walk-off win of the season with a run in the bottom of the 12th frame. Superka drew a leadoff walk, and he moved into scoring position on a groundout by Cappo. After junior designated hitter David Rodriguez was intentionally walked, junior catcher Ryan Kessler ripped an RBI single through the right side to score Superka with the winning run
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian collected 13 hits with Vozzo going 5-for-6 with three doubles, a homer, two runs and an RBI
- Rabosky was 3-for-6 with two homers, two runs and three RBIs while Keitsock added two hits and an RBI
- Superka scored twice to go with a hit while Cappo and Kessler each had one hit and an RBI with Cappo adding a double
- Phillips had one run scored in the contest
- Senior Nate McBride made the start on the hill, and he had two strikeouts in six innings of action. Freshman Nick Mancini had one strikeout in a third of an inning while freshman Rocco Viscito faced two batters. Junior Ryan Hoffman posted two strikeouts in 2.2 innings while junior Caden Ward earned the win with three innings of action that included one strikeout
