How It Happened
- The Greyhounds jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Freshman right fielder John Phillips reached on an error to lead off the game while sophomore shortstop David Vozzo drew a walk after Phillips moved to third on wild pitch. Sophomore left fielder Troy Rabosky connected on an RBI single to chase Phillips home while junior catcher Ryan Kessler ripped a two-RBI single to score Vozzo and Rabosky. After a wild pitch moved Kessler to third, junior designated hitter Davis Rodriguez hit an RBI single that scored Kessler
- The Bulldogs answered with a run in the bottom of the first, one in the second, two in the third and six runs in the fourth to move ahead 10-4
- Moravian pushed a run home in the top of the fifth on a solo home run from Rabosky to make it 10-5. The homer was Rabosky's seventh of the season and the 14th of his career to move into sole possession of fifth in program history
- DeSales countered with single runs in the bottom of the fifth and sixth for a 12-5 advantage
- The Blue & Grey scored twice in the top of the seventh to make it 12-7. Rabosky and sophomore center fielder Luke Keitsock hit singles to start the inning while Rodriguez had a one-out infield single to load the bases. Junior third baseman Kiernan Keninitz hit an RBI single to bring Rabosky home while junior designated hitter Domenic Venini connected on an RBI sacrifice fly as Keitsock raced across the plate
- The Bulldogs finished off the scoring with a pair of runs in the bottom of the eighth frame
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian collected 11 hits in the contest with Rabosky going 3-for-5 with three runs, two RBIs and a home run
- Rodriguez was 3-for-3 with an RBI while Keninitz went 2-for-3 with an RBI
- Kessler contributed a hit, a double and two RBIs while Keitsock had a hit and a run
- Sophomore infielder Owen Ness recorded a hit while Vozzo and Phillips each scored once and Venini added an RBI
- Junior Caden Ward made the start on the mound and had a strikeout in two innings of action while junior Nick Leonard added one strikeout in 1.2 innings of work. Freshman Rocco Viscito faced four batters while sophomore Chase Wengryn tossed 2.1 innings. Senior Max Sponheimer pitched the final two innings
