Four Hounds Named to College Sports Communicators Baseball Academic All-District
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University seniors Ross Huffman and Sean Superka, junior Nate McBride and sophomore David Vozzo have been named on the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Baseball Team for NCAA Division III schools.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University seniors Ross Huffman and Sean Superka, junior Nate McBride and sophomore David Vozzo have been named on the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Baseball Team for NCAA Division III schools.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-America® honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.50 grade-point average, be a sophomore, junior or senior and be a starter or significant reserve that must have competed in 90 percent of the team's games or started at lead 66 percent of the institutions contests in 2026. Moravian has had 56 Greyhounds named CSC Academic All-Americans®.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. The CSC Academic All-America® teams will be announced Tuesday, June 23 for baseball.
The group helped the Greyhounds to a 13-24 record this season.
Huffman, a political science major with a 3.80 grade-point average, posted a 2-4 mark on the mound this season with a team-high 43 strikeouts in 45.2 innings of action as he started in nine of ten appearances and tossed one complete game, a 16-strikeout effort versus Juniata College. He finished his career with a 6-12 mark, a save and 115 strikeouts in 143.1 innings. Huffman has been a member of the Moravian Dean's Honors List seven times, Moravian's Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society and a three-time member of the Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll.
Superka, an accounting major with a 3.93 grade-point average, had a .265 batting average in his first season as the starting first baseman for Moravian, and he contributed 30 hits, 25 runs, 12 doubles, a triple, 18 RBIs, 20 walks and was hit by a pitch a school record 21 times in 2026. Superka collected 40 hits, 36 runs, 27 RBIs, 17 doubles, a triple and two home runs in his career. Superka has been a member of the Moravian Dean's Honors List seven times, Moravian's Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society and a three-time member of the Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll. He also served as chair of Moravian's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
McBride, a business management major with a minor in finance and a 3.76 grade-point average, made 12 appearances on the mound this season with seven starts and a 2-4 record to go with 27 strikeouts in 45 innings of action. He has 35 career appearances with eight starts, a 3-5 record and 32 strikeouts in 62 innings of action. McBride has been a member of the Moravian Dean's Honors List four times, Moravian's Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society and two-time member of the Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll.
Vozzo, who has a 3.73 grade-point average, was selected to the 2026 Landmark All-Conference Honorable Mention squad after hitting .349 with 37 hits, 30 runs, 15 doubles, a triple, two home runs, 19 RBIs, 22 walks and 14 stolen bases this spring to go with 41 putouts and 76 assists in 131 chances at shortstop. In two seasons at Moravian, Vozzo has 71 hits, 62 runs, 27 double, two triples, four homers, 36 RBIs and 25 stolen bases. Morgan has been a member of the Moravian Dean's Honors List three times and made the 2026 Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll.
