Moravian Tops Cairn in Final Non-Conference Game of 2026
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University baseball squad closed out its 2026 non-conference season with a 4-1 win over Cairn University at Gillespie Field Tuesday afternoon.

How It Happened
- The Greyhounds jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Sophomore center fielder Luke Keitsock and sophomore shortstop David Vozzo drew walks to start the inning. The pair pulled off a double steal with Keitsock racing home on a throwing error. Senior first baseman Sean Superka was hit by a pitch, and junior designated hitter David Rodriguez drew another walk to load the bases. Junior catcher Ryan Kessler added an RBI walk as Vozzo scored, and Superka touched the plate after a balk
- The Highlanders answered with a run in the top of the third to make it 3-1
- Moravian added a run in the bottom of the fourth frame on a solo home run by senior second baseman James Ruban III, his first home run of the season and second of his career
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had three hits in the contest with Ruban going 1-for-4 with a run and an RBI
- Kessler was 1-for-3 with an RBI while freshman right fielder John Phillips had a hit
- Keitsock, Vozzo and Superka each scored one run in the game
- Freshman Rocco Voscito earned his first collegiate win with four strikeouts in three innings of action as the Greyhounds had a set lineup of pitchers to use in the contest. Sophomore Andrew Sagrestano added three strikeouts in two innings while junior Wes Griffith struck out two batters in three innings of work. Junior Caden Ward tossed the final inning to earn his second save of the season
